Polly wants a cloak

Just doing a prototype for Polly's Pixie & Fairy Party in January 2015 and this is for the boy guests.......a 'Pixie Cloak', made in under an hour to 'swish' and 'wish' in.

Easy to make..... Get some fabric that doesn't fray, but that is light weight too. Mine was a remnant off the Leicester Market @ £2.50 for about 2.5meters - Yes - Bargain, so should make 8 small cloaks. (suitable for 2-3 year olds)

Cut a panel out (Polly's was about 60x70cm in size). Also cut a strip for the cloak top - I chose some old heavy weight curtain fabric I had in my material box. (about 50x12cm)

Iron the cloak neck edges in

Place the cloak fabric on the edge and pin together

Sew together

And stitch the other side of the neck panel

Add a bit of velcro to join the 'neck' and crochet a flower to sew on (or use a fancy button)

And here it is......

And here is the Pixie Fairy, practicing her moves in her new cloak.....
